Passenger traffic at Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) increased 9.1 percent for April in comparison with the same month last year.* During the month, 67,182 passengers flew in or out of the county-operated airport, compared to 61,606 passengers last April.
For the 12 months ending April 30, total passenger traffic at DAB increased 4 percent with 702,145 passengers traveling through the facility last year compared to 730,341 passengers this year.
“April was another positive month for growth. Additional capacity and increased demand attributed to increases over last year,” said Airport Director Rick Karl.
Karl added: “One of the most positive takeaways from the month was that Delta Airlines added a daily flight and their overall load factor still increased over last year. It’s important that as capacity increases demand keeps up, and that’s what occurred in April.”
