Airport traffic up 18.5 percent

Passenger traffic at Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) increased 18.5 percent for November in comparison with November last year.* During the month, 54,732 passengers flew in or out of the county-operated airport, compared to 46,182 passengers last November.

For the 12 months ending Nov. 30, total passenger traffic at DAB increased 11.75 percent with 626,312 passengers traveling through the facility last year compared to 699,912 passengers this year. This month marks the 13th consecutive month of year-over-year passenger traffic increases.

“November was another positive month in regards to passenger traffic, with some of the highest load factors of the year for all three airlines,” said Airport Director Rick Karl. “We do expect some of the large year-over-year increases to level out in 2017. It now has been almost a year since JetBlue commenced service. We are very encouraged by the results so far and look forward to JetBlue potentially expanding service in 2017.”
