TSA PreCheck Enrollment Center Opening July 1 At Daytona Beach International Airport

Posted On: June 30, 2016

TSA will open a permanent PreCheck enrollment center at Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) July 1. PreCheck allows participating flyers to experience a more efficient airport screening process by leaving on shoes, light jackets and belts and leaving laptops and compliant liquids in carry-on bags.

Passengers must pre-enroll and schedule an appointment at www.identogo.com/locations/tsa-pre. At the appointment, passengers will need to show documentation proving identity and citizenship status. Visit www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/identification for a complete list of required documents.

During the onsite enrollment at DAB, applicants will be fingerprinted for a background check. The $85 application fee can be paid by credit card, money order, company check or certified/cashier's check. Cash and personal checks are not accepted.

“We are very excited about having the TSA PreCheck enrollment center,” said Jay Cassens, business development director at Daytona Beach International Airport. “Last fall, TSA held a two-week enrollment event here and it was very successful, with 1,200 people enrolled.”

Successful applicants will receive a known traveler number (KTN) via U.S. mail within 45 days that is valid for five years. The enrollee should enter the KTN in the “known traveler number” field when booking travel reservations. The KTN also can be added when booking reservations through a participating airline website, phone call to the airline reservation center, or with a travel management company making reservations. The KTN also can be entered in participating airline frequent flyer profiles, where it will be stored for future reservations.

More than 150 airports, including DAB, have dedicated TSA PreCheck lanes. Twelve airlines participate in the program including Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines and Virgin America “The TSA PreCheck enrollment center is another convenience for our passengers and enhances the overall customer service experience,” said Cassens.
