After 10 years, US Airways is back in Daytona Beach.
The daily nonstop service by US Airways from DBIA to Charlotte Douglas
International Airport began Feb. 1. The service includes three daily
roundtrip flights from Daytona Beach to Charlotte. Charlotte is an
important hub for US Airways, with hundreds of domestic and
international connections.
US Airways Director of Corporate Affairs Chuck Allen said his company is
excited to back in Daytona Beach. He said the flight times for the
Daytona Beach to Charlotte service are ideal for leisure and business
travelers since departing times are at 8:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 5:30
p.m.
The aircraft used for the nonstop service is the EMB 175. The plane has
seating for 86 passengers and is known for modern style, comfort and
fuel efficiency. The EMB 175 is one of the newest commercial passenger
planes in use today.
